Haik-can’t be bothered

Poems: They are hard
Took bloody ages last week
Thus, henceforth, haikus

Long poems take time
More than third years have to spare

JCR Meeting 1 - Which Idiot Suggested Writing a Poem for every JCR Meeting?

To this JCR’s first meeting
I suppose I really should
Extend a form of formal greeting
(And hope the pizza’s good)

I know I am complacent
To be absent as the President,
And the Vice’s vocals vacant
Could be seen as an impediment

But I hope it won’t, for as you see
There’s poetry in the motions,
And funding poets, you’ll agree,
Is the best of noble notions.

With Mr Pontifex’s plan
We’ll have to take his word
That it’s not an intricate new scam
To get Donall’s Quiz-word

With Budgeting and Charity
All seems the way it should
And the Dominos mean Democracy
Never tasted quite so good
